Sunset Views Manor, Tarneit is the first project undertaken by the Smith + Tracey team for Homestyle Aged Care.
The solution, underpinned by an innovative small house design, the two storey recognisably residential building promotes socialisation, dignity, privacy and person centred care.
All rooms and spaces are stimulatingly light filled with views and outlooks into reflective courtyards, sensory landscapes and the greater metropolitan areas.
The site being located in the new urban growth context provided the design team a reference for the built form outcome which playfully characterises the scale and materiality of the area, delivering a domestic aesthetic for the residents and their families to enjoy and a safe and operationally efficient workplace for staff.
Sunset Views Manor has been very well received by residents and the Homestyle Team. To see residents smiling and almost in disbelief that they can live in such a beautiful home has been wonderful to witness. The home was brilliantly designed by S+T, and now in built form is a beautiful place to be.
