Smith + Tracey architects have recently completed an Indoor Sports Centre for Carrum Downs Secondary College and the Victorian Schools Building Authority. The project extended and upgraded the existing single court facility, and adds new competition standard basketball and netball courts, with new learning area, change rooms and support facilities.

The Centre creates a hub of sporting excellence for the College, and provides extensive access for local sporting clubs and community gathering activities.⁣

⁣The building was designed to address and activate an entry point from McCormicks Road and by providing strip glazing along the street façade, the Centre celebrates the sporting endeavours within and visibly promotes outwardly the learning opportunities of the College.⁣
