Princeton View Aged Care in Brighton East was announced category winner for the “Best Heritage Renovation or Restoration” at the Bayside Built Environment Awards 2024. The awards evening was a celebration of the successful collaboration between Smith+Tracey, MDC Interior Concepts, and the aged care provider Bolton Clarke (formerly an Allity Care residence).
Originally constructed in 1882, the double storey heritage listed Italianate mansion creates the arrival experience to the 126-bed residence. The entire 3 storey building has been exquisitely remodelled and refurbished incorporating a unique integration of contemporary design with the beauty and elegance of the original manor style architecture to achieve a living standard and built quality that surpasses all expectations of what aged care accommodation is.
Enjoying unique lifestyle spaces and socialisation experiences throughout the entire building, this carefully conceived renovation creates and encourages an active and communal quality of life for its residents, within a piece of retained Bayside history.
“The residents and staff of Princeton View are greatly appreciative of the efforts given to this project, with a result that is both effective in respect of the operational requirements, and delightful to those who call it their home.
