Official Opening for Roslyn Primary School. The newly completed building and associated external works project at Roslyn Primary School was officially opened by Christine Couzens, the MP for Geelong, alongside the staff, students and parent community. The building created a new school arrival and administration suite; multi-purpose space for whole school gatherings; a 3 class learning cluster, opening onto a shared STEAM lab. Replacing a ‘tired’ LTC building at the end of its life, the new facility is both flexible and adaptable to provide a contemporary learning environment that directly underpins the School’s educational philosophy, positioned to create an enhanced façade to the street and an extended soft play outdoor social ‘heart’ to the school. The new facilities open up to create a seamless indoor/outdoor learning environment, with a beautifully crafted activity based landscape developed by parents and students using salvaged and recycled materials, to support their STEAM program. Today was a community celebration for all the collaborators involved in this exciting and successful project.
