The first LEA event for 2019 was held at Kolbe Catholic College, with the opportunity for over 80 registered visitors to tour two projects that were entered into the 2018 Victorian Chapter Awards. The Religious Centre was opened to attendees, alongside the Food Technology Centre, which won the ‘New Individual Facility’ Award. To accompany the facility tour, Adrian Curtis and Gerard Meehan from Smith+Tracey Architects presented the back story to the design collaboration with the College, which had explored how the building could represent the life cycle of food: produce, prepare and present; and how the completed building and food creates the social ‘heart’ to the College community. #kolbecollege#smithtracey#smithtraceyarchitects#peoplecentreddesign#architizer#architecture_au#australianarchitecture#melbournearchitecture#archdaily#designthinking#architecturelovers#architecturephoto#awardwinningdesign#agedcare#retirementliving#educationdesign#melbourne#architecture
