Gerard Meehan
Principal | Design Leader
As a Principal at smith+tracey Gerard brings a unique blend of creative thinking and produces purposeful built outcomes across multiple sectors. While function and aesthetics are drivers for quality architectural design, Gerard understands the meaning of community and people centred design.
After completing an Associate Diploma in Architectural Technology, and a Bachelor of Architecture from RMIT, Gerard has developed a broad cross section of experience on a range of building projects. He has an extensive background in residential, commercial and industrial projects of varying scales. His experience has included key design, documentation and administrative roles in a number of small to medium sized architectural practices.
Since joining Smith + Tracey his focus has been in the planning and design of educational and community based projects. His aim is to explore how the design of educational environments can enhance learning within educational facilities and become embedded in the broader community.
Gerard is committed to developing strong collaborative relationships with clients, consultants and project teams alike; with the sole intent of delivering informed, innovative and finely crafted design outcomes that are sustainable to a project’s site and place.
